I just started working out again and I watch what I eat but I have noticed since I started working out again I am hungry all the time and I end up eating things I don't want to because I have no will power! What do I do?

I have the same problem! Everytime I start to feel like I'm getting some where i get out of control and eat junk. Erhg. Anywho, getting some healthy snacks (raw veggies, pretzels) and putting all the bad ones somewhere where you dont see them all the time helps. Maybe get some strawberries or fruit, to kill sweets craving. And just recently, I've found eating a bit of a larger breakfast, high in protein helps me tame cravings. Also drink a lot of water.. It gives you something to do and is really healthy for you anyways. And last, but not least buy a pack of gum. When my eating gets a little bad and I start to feel crappy about it (and know that if i dont get it under control, I start to do really unhealthy things), i smoke more and chew a lot of gum. Obviously smoking isnt at all healthy, but this is just what I do. Good luck. Oh, and the most important thing to do is just to stay positive, not beat yourself up over little slip ups, and just believe that you can do it.

Make sure you eat protein with every meal. Try to eat small meals, more often, i.e every 2.5 hours.

Eat mostly natural unprocessed foods. Stay away from sugar, refinined carbs (white bread, pasta) etc, artificial sugar. This is really important!!

Drink water. Eat unsaturated fats (nuts, salmon).

If you get really hungry between meals, have a small yogurt, some fruit or some almonds!

Good luck!

Drink lots of water. Sometimes your body [or mind, rather] tricks you into thinking you're hungry when you're actually dehydrated.

The more you work out, the more calories you burn. Your metabolism speeds up so you're going to need to snack more. Keep fresh fruit and other healthy foods available for times like that.

eat 5-6 small meals each day. then you only have to go a couple of hours between meals. make sure you get enough protein and fiber, because they fill you up and stay with you longer. give in to your cravings in small ways. take a couple of bites of whatever food you crave and just hold it in your mouth for a few minutes without chewing it. your brain will think you're eating a lot more of it.

Try drinking water when you feel hungry, if that doesn't help try eating things like fresh fruits or nuts.

I'm in the same boat as you. The best advice I can offer is to drink lots of water and keep your mind busy so you don't think about food. I will be eager to see what anyone else has to say.

what is your diet?
you might not be taking in sufficient balance of protein..carbs to keep you from being so hungry.
it takes the body a bit of time to adjust to exercise..as your metabolism is burning more calories...
low fat..low sodium..diet is best.
try to break up your meals during the day..so instead of 2 main meals..have 4-5 smaller ones.
