I'm going for a vacation, bringing with me some gadgets like camcorder and digicam. I'm worried about the chargers can I use the chargers anywhere with different volts, like in the Philippines they use 220v, US is 110v.

I don't know how it is in the Phillipines, but in Italy the plugs are different and the voltage (220V) is different than in the USA (110V).

At the airports (Europe), they sold adapters that you can plug into the wall that converts the local voltage (220V) to a USA voltage 110V. Price was about $20.

Some gadgets have switches in the back that allow you to switch from 110V to 220V. If you're gadgets have that switch (usually red), then you don't need to buy a converter.

You will need passive adapter plugs (about $10 at most stores) to connect to the wall socket, but your charger should be able to handle everything from 110 to 240 50/60 Hz (look at the plug unit itself it will show the ratings).
