My friends are planning a trip for July. It's going to be a very inexpensive trip, b/c we are staying at my friend's family's condo on a private beach. We won't have to pay her for the stay, will get use of the beach and we will have a kitchen to prepare meals/store food. We plan on going out of dinner and for drinks about 3 of the 5 nights we will be there.

Right now, I'm very low on cash and don't have the money for the $250 roundtrip plane ticket. I don't have a credit card either. My friend offered to pay for the ticket along with hers on her credit card. I sort of feel bad though.

She's been my friend for 7 years and I've had her do this before for thinks like concert tickets, etc. I always pay her back. I just feel funny, b/c I don't have the money available right now. I will in a few weeks.

Should I let her charge my plane ticket to her credit card?

I'm 23 and right out of college. I'm having a difficult time finding a job right now. But, I have a few interviews coming up.

I don't have a credit card and don't want to get one either. I have enough student loan debt; i don't want a credit card too.

If she has offered, then by all means, take her up on the offer! This is the kind of thing that friends sometimes do for each other. It's obviously important to her that you be there, so go, and have a wonderful time!

It's also very good to know that you're uncomfortable taking the loan...This is a sign of a mature individual who wants to pay her own way. Good for you!

Since you have always paid her back in the past, I'm sure she's comfortable knowing that you'll pay her back for this one. I say go for it!

I'm sure the your friend is aware of your financial situation, school debt etc. She still made the offer, and I believe that she was sincere in doing so. So go on the trip, and be the good friend you know she believes you are and repay her as soon as you can. Make a payment plan and make something you can do and follow through with.

The best way to lose a friend is to borrow money and not repay. This isnt a neccesity so consider that. Do some extra work and pay your own way.

you've always paid her back which is why she's OFFERED to charge it for you.
ask her if you 2 can get together to make a payment plan for you if it will make you feel better. remember that she'll be paying interest, too; so you also need to.

go! and have a great time!

she's offering to pay for it, that means she really wants your company on the trip. you also have a good track record of paying her back. I'd let her do it.

If you've always paid her back is why she is offering again. Just be sure she understands how long it might be before you can pay her.
