I know that you cannot become a rabbi until you're 30, but I thought Jesus "fulfilled" the old laws, plus being the son of God, you think it would be okay. Sure there was the little episode when He was 12 or whatever, but why wait until He was 30, especially if He knew He was only going to live like 3 more years?

Also, why didn't He follow the law the rabbis had to be married?

*** it-2 p. 57 Jesus Christ ***

At some point in John’s ministry, Jesus went to him and was baptized. When Jesus thereafter commenced his own ministry he was “about thirty years old.” (Lu 3:21-23) At the age of 30, the age at which David became king, Jesus would no longer be subject to human parents.—2Sa 5:4, 5; compare Lu 2:51.

you see Jesus was just a perfect man until he was baptized
then he officaly became the Christ.

this might be over your head (no agarance meant) but see when the messiah was predicted to appear

(Daniel 9:25-27) . . .And you should know and have the insight [that] from the going forth of [the] word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem until Mes‧si′ah [the] Leader, there will be seven weeks, also sixty-two weeks. She will return and be actually rebuilt, with a public square and moat, but in the straits of the times. 26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Mes‧si′ah will be cut off, with nothing for himself. “And the city and the holy place the people of a leader that is coming will bring to their ruin. And the end of it will be by the flood. And until [the] end there will be war; what is decided upon is desolations. 27 “And he must keep [the] covenant in force for the many for one week; and at the half of the week he will cause sacrifice and gift offering to cease.. . .

God sets times for things. That's why we have to wait for a lot of things to happen. God has His timing, and we have to remain patient.

Now you might be glad that there is no way to paste charts on this site, because some would show you all these charts discussing the timing of God, and that it was foretold. Daniel is especially used in this way.

It was all about timing. Even the Triumphal Entry was a timing issue. Any of the Festivals that were recorded in the New Testament were timings; because another Hebrew meaning for "Feasts" is also translated " Set Times".
