who are ATTACHED to the hip. I am under the impression that they are really spoiled too. Well, I am having issues with them napping (they talk and one is a light sleeper and wakes up and wakes sissy up too) i want to seperate them but one will scream her head off for hours and wake my other nappers up. (I do childcare). How shall I do this? ages 2 and 5. 5 y/o will be in school next year and we need to get 2 y/o used to being away from sissy.

I would definitely separate them. Make a big deal about it , "You get to sleep here". Buy each girl a pillow and tell them they can only have them in "their" sleep spot. Explain in a whisper that we have to be very quiet at naptime. Be firm and consistent. Good luck!!~

If you want them to stop acting like babies, stop using the word "sissy." It's "sister."

Tell them first thing tomorrow that they'll be taking naps in a new area. Tell them everyone is getting moved around (even if it's not totally true.) Let them prepare for the rule change all day long, so they aren't mad, surprised or upset when nap time comes.

Then if the one screams, let her. Don't give in. By tomorrow she'll stop and sleep quietly. A few hours of noise is worth it for a permanent change.

First and foremost you are a babysitter, and not the children's parents... Let the parents worry about getting the children seperated. That's not your obligation... Or you can chat with the parents about what they are doing to transition the children's seperation and follow their lead....

Separete them little by little, like a few minutes at a time...

And I don't think she meant they are physically stuck together at their hip(Person who posted)...But if they really are then you can't separate without surgery...
