They get the rabies shot at 4m. Legally in the state of Michigan puppies aren't supposed to leave their Mother until 8 weeks though.

Honestly it depends on the individual puppy and the breed. Here's some information: At six weeks of age, 25% of the puppies could be immunized. At 9 weeks of age, 40% of the puppies were able to respond to the vaccine. The number increased to 60% by 16 weeks of age, and by 18 weeks, 95% of the puppies were protected by the vaccine. Usually though puppies get vaccinated at 6 weeks then get their boosters every three weeks afterward until they are around 18 weeks. Ask your vet to be sure.

You will need to get a distemper vaccination in 3-4 weeks. You will get one more distemper (total 3 since your puppy had her first one already) in 4 more weeks which will bring her to the age of about 14-16 weeks. At this time she will also get her rabies vaccination. Depending on where you live, you may want to get a lepto vaccination. Talk to your vet about this. After the third round of vaccinations, you're done! Good luck.

They are usually vaccinated between 6-9 weeks of age. Right about at the time the mothers antibodies start to dwindle out of the pups immune system. Good luck with your pup.

HI,
Your pup needs to get his shots as soon as possible if he is six weeks old. Make sure to wash your hands after you pet your dog too, since he hasn't had all his shot. If you still aren't conviced talk to your vet or find a vet to talk to. That is what a vet is for. Good luck with your puppy!!!! : )
