in high school, but now i'm 23 and I know that sex is a mutual thing. My friend is 41 and she says that since she has sex with her bf he has to give her what she wants.

Okay I'm in high school and i know that sex is a mutal agreement . If the case is since ya'll just had sex he owes you something then why cant it work both ways...Women believe that they are helping the man out when in reality they are both helping each other

because they have bought into the postmodern entertainment based learning culture--look, everything is commodified these days. so, if society makes virginity or sex such a prized commodity then it is only natural to fall into such an immature bartering system. there is also the perpetuated myth that men want sex 24/7 whereas women just give in. an idea that prevailed since the victorian era--sex for a woman was a duty. modern women have learned to enjoy it instead of just put up with it. sex should just be mutually enjoyable--

That type of thinking went out with the dawn of feminism decades ago. Seems your friend is a little behind the times, it's also a good way to chase off a boyfriend...maybe that is what she is trying to do?

Sex is a wonderful thing between two people, no one should "owe" anyone afterward.

I guess the way she thinks means she is a prostitute...

Sex is about pleasuring yourself and your partner. No one owes anyone anything after wards unless there was a prior arrangement and then there's only one word for that-hooker.
