No, it is not selfish to but yourself something for your birthday. Every now and then people need something to reward themselves for the hard work they have been doing in life and by giving yourself a birthday present it is can be congradulating yourself for being a year older or for the hard work you have done in life.

No, I do not believe it is selfish to buy yourself a present. It is the one day of the year that is totally yours. So if gettting yourself something that you want on your birthday, kudos to you. At least you will make yourself happy and what else is there on your b-day?

No, I treat myself to something nice every year. If you work hard, why wait around for someone to give you something. There is nothing wrong with buying yourself something nice, especially on your birthday. Go for it.

No; I encourage others to frequently buy themselves gifts. The only time I think it's weird is if someone has flowers or other gifts sent to them to give others the impression that they are from someone else!!
Now with that said, go buy yourself something nice!!!

Not at all. It's wise and a good way to pamper yourself for being you. It's a way of loving yourself and that's not selfish, that's being wise.
