Properly done scientific studies have shown that it has no effect on medical outcomes at all.
Unless a religious person is told that they are being prayed for. In which case it does as much good as a sugar pill 'cure'. - It does not matter if they are being prayed for or not. Can we say "placebo effect"?
Sorry if people do not like that answer, but it is a fact.

Yes praying does get results. I have had all of my prayers answered. As for the Pope. The Holy Roman Catholic Church is the biggest organization that feeds and clothes, provide medicine and housing to any who need it. They are in almost every third world country right now feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, providing shelter and medicines. In most disasters in this country, Catholic Charities are the first people to respond, even way before the Red Cross decides to show up(and CC doesnt charge the victims of a disaster like so many other charitable organizations such as the Red Cross).

Christians pray. But some do lack the power of the Holy Spirit when they pray which allows them excess to the very throne room of God Almighty where divine fellowship takes place. God does speak but do they really take the time to shut the world out and listen to the one who created them? God has called us to be holy and not only are we his kings but also His priests which operate under a new Covenant under Christ. Once you have entered into the holy place of God in your times of prayer, you will never be the same and people who are around you will notice that your face as well as your countenance, as Moses, does shine from the glory of God..This kind of prayer works....

First you have to believe in pray for it to work. Then you have to believe that the Lord Jesus will answer, or why pray at all. The Bible states in Mark chapter 11 verse 24, therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Praying helps taking the right decisions. It always works for me. If you ask a human for help, he might not have the power to help you or others materially, but if he/she prays, you and him/her will receive the solutions to the problems. It usually happens in a way you’ve never imagined. And it’s absolutely beautiful!

Jesus always answers my prayers. If you had a real real good friend asked them to come over and help you with something would they do it ?Of course they would because you know them and they know you and you are friends.Well magnify that by 100 billion times/Jesus never fails. Not once nor will he fail you.But it sure helps Knowing Him and receiving Him in your Heart .Then you are friends.Brothers Jesus said.He is your God and He will not let you down. But you have to come to Him.Is this your chance? Is it itime for you? I will pray for you.

as a matter of fact, yes. Whenever I seriously pray to my Gods and ask for help and guidance, I always get a reply in one way or another. Every single time.
It's not an excuse not to do something you can, though. It's a help with something which is out of your hands, therefore "gods' help".
