I have not checked mine and I live in the town where Joan's Law was inspired. It's not like I can do anything positive with the knowledge I would gain from the registry. I am certainly not going to drop my guard over my kids if there are no listings in my area. So all I can do with the info is worry too much, worry too little, or get angry and do something stupid so whats the point? Plus - I am not really sure I agree with the concept. I am quite sure at least 1 person, somewhere, has been placed upon one of those lists wrongly. I cannot see how the lists can help anyone so all they can do is harm. Catcher: Hmm - flip through the pictures - maybe there IS some point to it - but still, isn't an unknown face just as dangerous as one we see on the listing?

My sister used to. She said I have a sex offender living just across the street from me.
Oh well. I'm ugly and I have a big mean dog. I'm not worried.
Besides, I don't have to go looking on a website to see who to trust and who not to trust. I'm an equal opportunity pessimist; I distrust everyone equally.
