This is one reason why their teaching is false. The 144.000 people consist of the 12 tribes of Israel which will make up of 12,000 from each tribe whom God has chosen and ordained as pure and holy and undefiled who will not receive the mark of the Antichrist and will proclaim the gospel of Christ during the 7 year tribulation period in which the judgement of God is being pour out upon the earth against the wicked. It has nothing to do with the Jehovah's witnesse doctrine of falsehood...

To all the 'bible experts'
Why did Jesus make a mistake in naming the 12 tribes of Israel in Rev. chapter 7?
The 12 sons of Jacob, included Levi and Joseph.
The 12 tribes of Israel traded Ephraim and Manasseh for Levi and Joseph.
The 12 tribes listed in Rev 7 left out Dan and Ephraim and added Levi and Joseph .
Did Jesus make a mistake, or was he talking about a different Israel?
Paul tell us that there is a new creation, the Israel of God.
Where there is no difference between Jew and Greek.
Gal 6:15Â For neither is circumcision anything nor is uncircumcision, but a new creation [is something]. 16Â And all those who will walk orderly by this rule of conduct, upon them be peace and mercy, even upon the Israel of God.
Paul also said when a Gentile gets baptised they become Jews.
If a Jew doesn't accept Christ, he is no longer a Jew.
Rom 2:28Â For he is not a Jew who is one on the outside, nor is circumcision that which is on the outside upon the flesh. 29Â But he is a Jew who is one on the inside, and [his] circumcision is that of the heart by spirit, and not by a written code. The praise of that one comes, not from men, but from God.
Rev 5:9Â And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10Â and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”
shows those bought and sing the new song are from every tribe and people and nation. NOT JUST FLESHLY JEWS.
It helps to read the whole bible. and not just listen to 'so called experts'.

They are misinterpreting Revelation.
Rev. 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads
But before this in chapter 7 it tells us after the 12, 000 of each of the 12 tribes of Israel, there is a countless multitude of people.
Rev. 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
The 144,000 are those that are actual descendants of Jacob(Israel). But, there are others of every nationality that God calls a Great Multitude that also resists the Beast.

In Russellism, i.e. Jehovah Witness, they take Rev. 7 and believe that it applies to them when in fact, it is referring to the 12 tribes of Israel.
There are many teachings by the JW that do not line up with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Their bible, NWT is only accepted by their religion/sect. Outside of JW's, it's not accepted because it is not taken from the original manuscripts.
Hope that helps.
Rev 7:1-8
7:1 The 144,000 People of Israel
After the vision of these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth. The angels were holding the four winds of the earth to keep them from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east who had the seal of the living God. And he called out in a loud voice to the four angels to whom God had given power to harm the earth and the sea. 3 He said to them, "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we mark with a sign the foreheads of the people who serve our God." 4 Then I heard how many people were marked with the sign. There were one hundred forty-four thousand from every tribe of the people of Israel.
5 From the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were marked with the sign,
from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,
6 from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,
7 from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,
8 from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand,
and from the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were marked with the sign. NCV

All I know is Jesus came to Earth and died on Calvary's cross to save the world and all that would accept Him! Heaven is for everyone. It's up to us to accept Christ and strive for eternal life in Heaven! That's my goal.

The 144,000 in the Book of Revelation refer to the ones who have not been defiled. What the JW's fail to realize is that they are of Hebrew descent. Jewish. 12,000 from each original tribe of Israel.

Because they are totally looney. But I am curious, have they broken the "144,000" down into ethnic groups, occupations, and annual incomes. If idiocy is their goal (and it obviously is) that would add to it.

Beats me. And if you really believed that only 144000 people go to heaven, why would you go our recruting others who might get in before you.
