ITIN is an "Individual Tapayer Identification Number". It is a tax ID for people who do not qualify for a Social Security number.

When you and your husband file your tax return next spring, you will apply for the ITIN numbers for you and your daughter. Look at IRS.gov for form W-7. You would mail the two ITIN number applications (the W7s) with your return to the IRS ITIN unit. He will receive the same tax benefit for you and your daughter that a US Citizen would.
