I will be flying out on Wednesday before thanksgiving and i know traffic will be horrendous, so I would like to avoid buses/taxis. Are their any trains/subways from Grand Central to either JFK or LGA? I haven't book my ticket, so the choice of airport is still open.

Really the easiest way is direct bus service from Grand Central to both airports. $12.00 to LaGuardia, $15.00 to JFK. But if you have to take the subway, take the Queens bound 7 train at Grand Central to Roosevelt Avenue at 74th Street, transfer dowstairs to the Jamaica bound E to Sutphin Boulevard and get the Airtram upstairs to JFK. For LaGuardia, you'll have to take a bus when you get to Roosevelt Avenue & 74th, the #33 bus takes you right into the airport and if you miss the 74th Street Stop, get off at Junction Boulevard and go downstairs to and get the #72 bus into the airport.

From Grand Central to JFK's a little tricky, but actually pretty convenient.

You can jump on the 4 downtown and transfer to the A to Brooklyn at Broadway/Nassau/Fulton Street.

To get to Laguardia, I have no idea... you'd actually have a much easier time getting to either JFK or Newark. For Newark, you're gonna wanna hop the bus from the Port Authority (Times Square, Shuttle train from Grand Central).
