It is not so much that conservatives don't want to conserve, it is just that there are certian issues that conservatives don't beleve in, i.e. Global Warming. Some scientific evidence would convince some people that global warming is destroying the ice caps, other scientific evidence would conclude that there is no such thing as global warming, that it is just a hoax.

What is the real answer? I don't know, and considering that I am a conservitave I feel that I am not jumping on the Rush Limbaugh bandwagon just because he says global warming dosent exhist. However, I have not seen any hard evidence to push me one way or the other.

Do I think that conserving our resources is an excellent idea? Of course, I recycle everyday, I try not to drive so much, I walk whenever I can, and I like to ride my bike. I try not to use my air conditioner, unless it gets above 90 then I do turn it on, in the winter I'll put on a swaetshirt before turning on the heat.

However I do beleve that our government could do more to help out, i.e. the "Air Powered Car" featured today in Yahoo news, at the end of the article it said that these cars could not pass the safety standards that we have in America, however it only costs on the average $2.00 to "fill up" with air. Everyone is constantly screaming about the evil oil compaines, however did you know that the oil companies only make about .08 cents per gallon after the costs of refining, the government gets the rest, and they don't even have to do anything for it, and that is Republicans and Democrats alike. So the major oil companies are not to blame, it is the people that we put into office to represent us.

So I guess this is one Conservative who conserves, I know there are more of us out here, we just need to start making ourselves heard

That's a pretty broad accusation you've thrown out there. Different groups of people have different ideas about conservation. Together they build a consensus, and that plan is usually better thought out and more likely to be implemented than emotional reactions to very complicated issues.

Why don't some people want to conserve? Because it's depressing to think how much we've screwed things up, and how much it's going to cost in time and money to try to make things right for future generations.

They want to conserve......their way of life! And screw yours....which is why they waste so much effort fighting scientific findings that don't support that end. For example, global warming. It is a little embarrassing to see otherwise intelligent people (obviously not "intelligently designed", however) railing against global warming by seizing on little anecdotal pieces of cooling here and there or some warm time in the past. The argument is so much more involved than that. Acceptance of the science might mean sacrifice....oh no!
Do what you can. Don't be greedy; it is not nice.

the situation is that liberals intentionally attempt to misconceive what conservatives symbolize. that's equivalent to what they concept approximately terrorists after 9/11. rather of desirous to retaliate, liberals stated they had to "understand" the terrorists and their reasons. In different words, they had to appreciate them as some thing that they weren't: feedom combatants, while in actuality Islamic terrorists have no interest in any respect in freedom. interior an identical experience, liberals want to have faith conservatives are basically racist conflict-mongers, and don't want any option reasons. subsequently, this could do no solid by any potential: conservatives stand for keeping democracy and the unfastened industry, some thing liberals have already deserted. via the way, Jesus replaced into no longer a "liberal hippie". that's yet another intentional fake impact. Jesus replaced into an orthodox Jew, and in basic terms liberals attempt to politicize him.

Conservatives do want to conserve - the status quo. Conservatives basically want things to stay the way they are, and the way they are is that we drive gas guzzling SUVs and pollute as much as we can in order to save a buck.

Conservatives in general don't give a darn about the environment, and they certainly won't go out of their way to conserve it. What they want to conserve is their easy lifestyle.

I'm a conservative and I work hard at conservation. I don't claim to be typical, but remember "Mr. Global Warning" Al Gore has one of the most energy wasting houses on record.

Because lying liberals waste more energy in a month than I can conserve in a year. Al Gore, Hilliary Clinton - and the rest - all jetting around the country preaching to us, while we have to endure 95 degree days in weak Air Conditioning.

Open up your eyes! They only want to inhibit your lifestyle and freedom. That is what liberals do-they take away from you.

Walk away from the Dark side and join the good fight.

Global warming does not exist in the minds of the lucky sperm club. The leaders(actual, not figurehead) will always have sufficient resources to meet their needs. Those who are buffaloed into support of these people by religion or lack of education don't realize that they are considered as a labor resource and nothing more.
Hard words? Yea,but reality as I taste it.
