In your elaboration you are trying to simplify the problem.
The problems are:
1]Extra population. European countries through imperialism
could divest its extra population which we could not do.
Manpower can be an asset if we can properly utilise them.
2] India was under subjugation for more than 1000 years and the rulers were plunderers and they did not make any
proper infrastructure in India.
3]Since we are poor and a subjugated country we have no personal honour; we have no culture;we have no rational thought to tackle our problems.
4]Taxation was always high;16% pre Moghul Period, 20%
during Moghul Period and 25% during Shivaji.Over and
above this there were more taxation during war, national
calamities etc.
5]Disparity of income was always there but because the
population was one tenth or less people were able to
live by agriculture and artisanship.
6]We are expecting too much from govt..I think that some people may think govt. will arrange the marriage of their
daughters!
7]Since there is no economic growth for the last 150 years,
everybody want to have a large pie of the govt. money
corruption becomes a part of this game.
8]Elected leaders are highly intelligent people like
succesful businessman having expertise in mass management. I know a renowned respected IAS once
contested an assembly seat in posh Calcutta and his
security deposit was forfieted. You require an organisation.
9]Sadam was unpopular,Stalin was unpopular,Blair
is unpopular, are the people able to throw them out?Only
certain situations throw them out.Unless the situation is there
intelligent people do not commit themselves for protest.

The same thinker here...........
First of all v don't need to vote.As most indians experience that gov. works better only during elections. They keep on announcing various policies but they don't work.
They need to reach the mass and educate people and incept more programs for the upliftment of rural.Funds should b used for improving the working conditions and life standard.
Need to augment exports and usher an amendment in Indian Constitution.Draft an effective industrial policy.
Indians lack will power thats the reason they do not come out, if, then the gov hits him.
Dude, its all on our patriotic spirit

make a programme through the school and college to give the message to all uneducated and middle class and all people, that india is the best.
all the non resident indian has big rolle to play , they should not show that they are living in paradise and when they come to india try to mix with this people.
in the house it should start, those who give much priority to our traditon and those who are economically may be back so try to help all the way by other members of family who has got more money and dont have time to keep indians tradition

By off shoring good jobs to the citizens of India we avoid the politics of giving aid. What most Americans don't realize is that in the same action we are raising the level of living in India, it is at the expense of jobs here. You have to take from Peter to pay Paul.

We need better government. For that we need better politicians. Better people need to come forward to improve that situation. We at Bhartiya Democratic Party (www.bdpindia.net) are working in this direction.
