Collapse of the Welfare State: Their social welfare models may make the present nice, but as their liberal anti-child and anti-family views cause their population to shrink while their older people go permanently on the dole, their system will collapse, as is happening in places like Germany (which has other economic issues, I know). Many of these countries are borrowing from tomorrow to maintain their high standard of current living

OK much of the reason the suicide rate in those countries is so high is that its so friggin cold. This is a loaded stat. I could also say that atheists make up only 0.2% of the US prison population while making up over 15% of the total population. This is a terrible metric to measure the benefits of secular living. Almost all of those countries (yes US included) made the top 15 countries to live in the world so why dont you use some stats that make sense

Look at the teen pregnancy rates and teen STD rates in America (specifically the Red/Bible Belt type states) and compare with France and the Netherlands. The US and it's Christian "abstinance only" BS causes children to be infected at a rate 7 times higher. That this is allowed in our counrty is child abuse (anti-child, anti-family, whatever you want to call it.)

And lets come up with a list of non secular countries...hmmm...Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afgnistan...forget that noise.

So, suicide is high - ER than in America - and not much higher...

On a recent list of countries that are the best, non-violent places to live, America ranked 98th on a list of 130 - right above Afganistan... Number One on the list - NORWAY. So, 1.2 more people in the US die from suicide than Norway - but Norway has less crime, less people in prisons, less teen pregnancy rates....less EVERYTHING.

Secular states as opposed to what - theocracies? Ok, compare life in all these places to life in Saudi Arabia, Iran, or any other religiously run country or country that is practically a theocracy. How much better is that?

Your few examples are not convincing in the big picture. Name one non-secular country in the world or from history without it's own share of problems.

You judging countries based on their suicide rates and telling them they should change from being secular? Judging entire countries based on the craziest civilians? Thats wrong. And wait a minute, I can't find those #'s anywhere. Where is your source for this? And you want me to tell you whats great about those countries? The right to debate this as well as anything else we want to. THats what.

Edit: Ah here we go, good old wikipedia has your numbers. And even with those, it doesn't show anything related to what you are trying to show when you look at the full list.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_rate

Of course, you could also compare, I don't know say... murder rates? Where do you find those countries on here?

And finally, the US is a secular country. I guess that slipped by your fact checking department.
