A calorie in terms of food is a quantity of food capable of producing a calorie of heat. "Calorie" as a measure of heat is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1°C from a standard initial temperature, especially from 3.98°C, 14.5°C, or 19.5°C, at 1 atmosphere pressure.
So, if you drink a glass of ice cold water, that water will cool the inside of your stomach because heat will flow into the water to equalize the temperature of the water and the surrounding area (thermodynamics). The body then has to raise that resulting equilibrium temperature.
So, YES, the body has to burn food, to generate calories to bring the body temperature in the stomach back up to where it normally is from where the added cold water lowered it. It's hard to say that it would take 100 calories to do that, but I suppose it's possible.
The basic idea is right, though. Your body does have to burn more calories than it otherwise would if you add cold water to your stomach.

Yes, but not much. Ice cold water is 0C, so let's say you drink 500mL (17oz) of water. It takes 1/1000 Calorie (kcal) to raise the temperature of 1 mL of water 1 degree Celsius. So, your body will spend 18.5 Calories to raise the temperature of all that water to normal body temperature (37C). You need to drink 4 times that amount to burn off a cookie!
If you drink water at body temperature, you will neither gain nor lose calories. However, if you drink freezing water, your body will lose calories to the ice by melting it. So actually you will burn calories.

Yes thats real. The physique compensates in view that of the cold fluid and has to make warmth. To make heat one has to burn calories. Thats why its pleasant in summer season to not drink cold drinks to cool down since it has the reverse outcome.

Yes it is true actually. If the water goes in ice cold and it doesn't come out that way, something has to happen. It won't help you lose weight very much faster, but it couldn't hurt!

confident thats real. the physique compensates because of the chilly fluid and has to make warmth. to make warmth one has to burn energy. thats why its ultimate in summer time to no longer drink chilly drinks to relax down because of the fact it has the opposite effect.
