crunches and sit ups will only make your belly look bigger because they build muscle, they do not burn any fat.
the only fat burning exercise is cardio.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

well, you gotta have some aerobic exercise. depending on your level of fitness you might want to start with just walking, then jogging, then running. This is a great way to burn calories and build muscle. Also, this will speed up your metabolism, helping you burn more calories. Drink lots of water. Not only does the body use calories to heat the water, it also aids in natural body processes, helping you burn even MORE calories. What you eat is really important, but most people overlook that it's also HOW MUCH you eat. Your stomach is only the size of a fist, so your portions should be fairly small. It's also a lot healthier to eat several small meals throughout the day, instead of a few big ones. This forces your metabolism to be active virtually non-stop. Don't eat after around 6 pm, and make sure you get breakfast in the morning. Get around 7-8 hours of sleep, as this will help your body heal from excercising. Good luck!

I hate to say it, but step number 1 is: stop drinking beer.

Step 2, lose fat - i.e. eat less, and exercise more.

At 5' 10" and 200 lbs you are overweight, but not huge. If you lost 15-20 lbs you'd be in pretty good shape.

Stop the beer -- if you drink 6 Bud Light beers a day, that's 660 extra calories per day extra in your diet --that's an average -- if you have a beer belly, you're probably pounding down 12 or more on Saturday...... so, let's say 6 per day is average and we'll give you Sunday off - that's 3,960 calories in a week. Rule of thumb is 3500 calories is a pound. So, by cutting out the beer, you're cutting off about a pound of weight gain for the week!

Ok....so you want to lose a beer gut and fast. Problem with that is the faster that you lose the weight, the easier it is to gain it back. Diet pills and all that do lose weight fast but the problem is that you are not changing anything about your diet or workout regimen.

To lose the beer gut you need to do exercises that focus on the abdomen muscles. Upper, lower, and obliques. Crunches, sit ups (twist in both to focus on the obliques), and so on.

You also need to watch your caloric input. If you start working out and eat more, then what is the point? Make sure you are getting protein in your diet. If you increase your caloric intake and increase your output (exercise) then you will still gain weight. Modify your diet to cut out saturated fats. Eat most of your carbohydrates in the morning and cut back as the day progresses.

It may take longer than you want, but it will stay off better. Oh and with your workout, continue until you feel like you can't do anymore.

Sadly crunches and sit-ups wont get rid of your love handles, re-evaluate your eating habits, that Mc-Donalds for lunch can be replaced with an apple and some carrots. Make healthy choices and be smart about how much you eat. Try to find someone to keep you company and start walking around the block for 30 minutes, once this becomes easy to you up it to 45 minutes and eventually rotate a 2 minute jog in between each 2-3 minutes of walking. If you have access to a gym adding some strength training will help you tone up and also increase your resting metabolism.
