What basic emotional need(s) does your religion or spiritual path fulfill in you?

For agnostics and atheists, if you were once part of a religious group was there any need that it met, if only temporarily?

All that man need is the firm conviction, strength of will, making the right choice of path into the journey to what he wants to fulfill as his destiny. Your religion, your agnosticism and your being atheist are just the roads in which you are free to choose. I personally choose to be in God's way. Each one of us can only be the judge to what we make ourselves of.

God's grace is sufficient for me! His peace that passes all understanding and the JOY of His salvation--- I am wrapped in all of these, and I would be lost and scared without my Lord and Savior! I cannot imagine having a life apart from Him. The Lord truly does keep me on solid ground. His grace and mercy are the most precious gifts! But His greatest gift of all is Jesus Christ!

My religion gives me peace, comfort and a feeling of belonging. Finding others who believe as I do has been a very positive and rewarding experience for me.

God saved me from sin through Christ- that is the greatest need- He supplied grace where I deserved death. Living my life for Christ- it is not about ME. It is all about Him. Getting my needs met, already happened, at Calvary.
