Because Jesus' death on the cross paid for my sins. If that were not so, I would still be dead in my sins and would never be able to enter God's presence.

Jesus is our Lord and Savior. He is everything to a Christian.
Give verses, OK, Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, The Bible is His book, that is why He is the Word of God.
Can I get an Amen?

Jesus is Yeshua. In Hebrew Yeshua means 'He shall save' or 'Savior'. Yeshua is even translated to save, savior, etc in the Old Testament. So, if you have a Strongs Exhaustive, you can do a word search and see where savior is written in the Old Testament.
Jesus is the promised 'Seed of the Women', Genesis 3:15, who defeated the serpent & death, by living sinless in His humanity, dieing on the cross in His humanity & raised from the dead in His humanity. He did this for us so we also will be born of His Spirit & raise up like Him on resurrection day.

If you are a Christian, you wouldn't ever think about asking this question. Jesus is the person who died on the cross in order to pay for your sins, my sins and ever single human being that has ever and will ever walk the planet. He gives us the easiest task in the world: accepting it. Because without Jesus Christ we are all condemned to Hell; but Jesus gives us the oppurtunity to spend eternity with him forever!

John 3:16-17,
For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Because He is the foundation of the Father's Plan for all of us. This Earthly existence would be meaningless without Him. This is a big question - it's sort of like asking, "Christians, what do you believe?"

Philippians 3:7-8
Yet whatever gains i had, these i have come to regard as loss because of Christ.
more than that i regard every thing as loss because of the surpassing value knowing Christ Jesus my Lord,
For his sake i have suffurde the loss of all things.
And I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

It's like if you are a fan of The Fab Four (aka The Beatles).. John Lennon is similarly important to them.
