I currently live here and have been here for about two years. Even though I do like it here, I don't absolutely love it and will probably end up moving in a couple years.

The main thing I don't like about NYC is the rent. While living here it's compleletely understandable and I have no problem paying it, but I definitely don't want to have to pay this high of rent for my whole life.

I guess the one thing I don't like about it is that everything is already established, I don't get the feeling that you can make NY your own unless you have a lot of money. Everyone is just going with the flow and experiencing what NY has to offer--most people can't afford to stake their claim so to speak in this city. It's so transient in that way.

It's so freakin' expensive! And they tax you to breathe... Sheesh.
