If you and your ex b/f parted amicably and he's moved on with another lady, perhaps it'd be okay, but realize please that you may be putting an BIG bit of tension into his relationship with that friend you're interested in.
Have you thought about whether or not there might be a touch of either "get even with" or "I'll show him" or "wanting just to be in your ex's company sometimes again??? If you can answer these honestly, you'll be guided to do the right thing. The new ex's best friend ought to be asking himself some questions like this as well and he should also talk with his friend (your ex) to see if it really is something that won't interfere with their friendship.
Motivation is all important once you've asked questions of yourself.

NO It is totally RUDE .. How would you feel if your ex boyfriend went out with your best friend??? not too happy I'd say...It is a Taboo. But if you want to break up their friendship and be in the middle of it all. then nothing is stopping you.

That kinda happened to me but my bestest friend went out with my ex without telling me till after the fact..... So thats a big no no do you really want to lose the little friendship you have left with your ex do you???

I mean if they feel the attraction to you and you feeling them to I don't see why not. But to keep on the safe side just make sure he cool wit it, but if he ani't then talk to the friend and see where he stands, if he cool then go for the chance who knows who may happen for real.
