The only thing I will say is that if you are thinking like that then you aren't truly in love. Ive being there when I was in high school and you think that you want your partner for life, that nothing else will ever change that, only thing is that when you leave school and start seeing life outside your area you will want new things, and you will fall in and out of love as often as you buy shoes, that's the way it is till you finally find that special one, when you find that person you will know and you will want to be committed, love is weird, you think that your bubble your in will never burst and when is does your heart feels like you will never recover, but you do recover make another bubble with someone even more special than before, Enjoy life, you only have one change on this planet,

You are a little young to be so committed to one person. I made that mistake. I got married right out of high school, and it ended in divorce.
Experience all life has to offer, get yourself a career, and learn about yourself. That is very VERY important, I cannot stress it enough. Learn what you want in a man and what behaviour you absolutely refuse to put up with. Get yourself established and live on your own and for yourself before you give yourself to another person.
Good luck :-)

Yes. As someone who went through it, trust me on this. Your life is just beginning. Let yourself be free and enjoy every minute that life has to offer. I know you feel like this is the one, but chances are, he's not. You have years and years of lots of other people to meet and enjoy. Don't let yourself be tied down now. If it turns out down the road that he is in fact "the one", then so be it! But right now you should be all about having fun and chasing your dreams.

Yep. ....No really, I don't think highschool is the best time to get into a serious or committed relationship. Like you said you are not ready to be committed. You'll wish you enjoyed your freedom later. Enjoy being young, wild, and free!

From an older person who got married at 19 and had my first child at 20.....go live a little. Once you get married and settle down, it stops. I wish I had went ahead and pursued a career and traveled and had fun before I settled down. You can never go back; and if you're having thoughts already about having fun....you'll end of regretting it if you settle down. Good luck and have fun while you're young. If you are truly meant to be together, it will happen; and you will both be more mature and ready to settle down.

High school relationships rarely last. You still have a long life full of selfish indulgences ahead of you! Stick with the guy and see how it goes but DO NOT make any commitments at this point in your life.

Put on hold all ideas of a forever relationship for at least 3 years. If it is really the forever one it will still be there at that time. Be young. Do what you desire. Be safe. Good luck and God bless.

you're not in love. dont waste your time trying to be that committed, because if you do stay together, you're going to resent him later on when you're older.
have fun, make it CLEAR that you're not going to be exclusive, then go out and make some mistakes and wake up a few times behind a dumpster with your skirt above your head.

I don't think your letting your life go.If that guy really loves you, he won't break-up with you for going to a party. What if you do get in trouble? That will just be between you and your parents, not you and your boyfriend.

You are losing out on life. Go out and enjoy. Going "steady" is a recent invention, and it makes no sense in high school, or even college...
