Yes, I totally believe that. I am a soul that lives in a human body. I chose my parents so that I could be born into a certain situation that was good for my spiritual growth. I believe I came here to learn lessons that can only truly be known through experience.

Well not really, but I do believe we all receive a gift
and we must discover it, develop it and share it in a positive way whenever possible.
For example, I genuinely like people so my smile has been known to lift a spirit or two. To me this is sharing one of my gifts.
If I were to choose, I would have chosen the 50's for the music, fashion and values :D

Yes. We fought a great war in Heaven in the preexistance just for a chance to come to earth and receive mortal bodies and be tested for our worthiness to live with our Father in Heaven again some day.

This is what I've been told mormons believe. lol

I don't think we choose to be born. If such a thing as rebirth exists, I think we would be reborn until we met some higher existance.

But, seeing as how I don't consciously remember any past lives, if they exist, it doesn't overly concern me.

I think we choose to come back and we also choose the hard things we will go through. Not all of them , but we do choose to put ourselves in negative positions to learn from them. Earth is just aplace for us to learn lessons to go back to "heaven" with. If life wasn't hard, you wouldn't learn anything. All this crap on earth must be worth something, right?

Yes. It was a toss-up. Hang out in a dark, stuffy, humid, hot, squishy place forever, or emerge. Ok, it wasn't that much of a toss-up....

I do, we all choose to be born, & to whom & into what circumstances.

Spiritually we choose that which will help us to develope & perfect within each incarnation.
