Honey dads don't really care for material gifts. A nice card and a cupcake would do just fine.

I do have an idea for you. What ever his age is, especially if it is a big one like 50, write Happy birthday on the card the number of times of his birthday in various directions. Like upside down. Rightside up. Backwards, on an angle much like a Word Search puzzle.

Trust me the card, a cupcake, a happy birthday daddy, and a kiss on the cheek is pretty much all dads ever need.

If you could find a nice poem that relates how special he is to you, and team it with your favorite photo of you two together, and frame them both into a nice keepsake, I'm sure it would be very special to him.

It will require some effort, but it won't cost too much money and it will be better than any store-bought gift. Make it personal and he'll really treasure it for years to come.

You say you know your Dad, but do you really know him. I work with guys like him. Hard to please so I just don't. Men love to play mind-games. Best thing is to just take him out and get him a Whopper with cheese, and super size it. Or look at his Golf equipment, replace the ugliest item you see. (if you have income, you buy,, if not you may have to take him along) Ps.. dont get rid of the old item untill he accepts or rejects you new gift. You know how your Dad is.......

If he's fussy, you don't have to bend over backwards to please him. If he likes golf, get him some quality golf balls--a golfer can never have too many, and he'll love them because they're from you.
