The problem is that you didn't leave the bleach on long enough. Hair color goes from brown to red to orange to yellow as it bleaches. If you try again, you will fry your hair. You should definitely go to a salon & have them help you recover. They may even be able to get you to the blonde that you want.

I wouldn't bleach it again because it will fry you hair. For the time being I would dye it back for now, do a deep conditioning treatment once a week for a month, and then if you still want to you can try to bleach it again. I would go to a high end salon though, with any color other than light brown your going to have trouble bleaching to blond so its better to let a trained professional handle that.

I would not recommend re bleaching, (speaking from experience) purchase an ASH blonde colour, the grey tones in it will take the red out and leave you with a much more natural looking blonde than a straw like blonde, never mind the broken brittle hair.
Make sure you do a deep condition after, your hair is damaged from the bleach already.
Hope this helps!

hehe i made the same mistake. Unfortunatly the only way to fix it is to go to a professional (they have the right chemicals/products). The red pigment in redish colours stay in the hair a lot longer than with other colours and hence the new orage look you now currently have. If you decided to go brown or something like that it would have been better, but to go from redish to blonde will have to be done professionally otherwise you can cause a lot of irreversable damage to your hair and your hair folicles and live to regret trying to do it yourself.

You should go to a professional, because it doesn't sound like you know much about the color wheel.

The bleach lifts the color that your hair already has, and the color deposits a new color. I think that you need to do both. A box of hair color has bleach in it to open the hair shaft and it has dye to deposit a new color. You mix them together. I color my own hair and I've been doing it for years. It looks great. I think you should try it again. Be sure to leave it on for at least 25 minutes. I use Loreal, cause I'm worth it.
