Of course I don't know details about Jesus in the way we know our parent's and friends, no one can. But we can still feel that we have a relationship with Him even if we don't know what His favorite thing to eat was. Those kinds of details don't define our relationships with people here so why should they define our relationship with Jesus?
I feel personally that I know Jesus in that I know what it feels to be comforted by his presence and what it feels like to be able to confess or tell him anything at all. I know too that even if I can't know exactly what Jesus the person was like, I still want to know Him and I try to live my life in a way that I believe will serve Him.
So I guess for me the answer is no, I don't know Jesus the way I know anybody else on earth, but I do know hope, love, peace and grace through Him and those feelings shape my life and make me sure that He is there.
Also, as far as Matt 7:15 - 23 is concerned, I think that even if we can't know intimate details about Him, He does know everything about us and He knows if we are true and faithful believers or not.

You seem to want to know what Jesus actually looks like.
Well no one can be really sure about that because no one has ever seen Him apart from the lucky few who were alive when Jesus was on the earth.
If you truly want to KNOW Jesus then why dont you ask Him into your life? and I know without a shadow of a doubt that you will know Him then.
Even mature Christians will never get to the end of knowing God He is so massive, so big no one can comprehend it.
Bless You ,Jesus loves you

I never met him. I am not exactly a Christian...
I believe that Jesus was not meant to die on the cross.
He was supposed to have a family and kids.
But that didn't work well.
I know God. I know God suffers everyday. Seeing the despair in his children's life. God knows us. I don't know God's favorite color or stuff like that. But God made us from parts of him. So we're all little Gods.
No I'm not crazy. This might sound weird because it's hard to explain.

I know what you mean but, the reason the question is phrased in that way is that when God places within you the spirit, people know God.
I think they are boasting that they have the Holy Spirit. They should be studying and working toward being a better person and not proclaiming their knowledge of Jesus personally.
I find this kind of statement about Jesus to be vain and based on their misinformed education in church. A true Christian is meek and humble and do not go around asking people, 'Do you KNOW Jesus like I KNOW Jesus?!' It is pride.

I do know Jesus personally. I know what He did for me, and what is expected of me. I live according to the Word of God, and repent of my sins daily. I have been blessed by the Lord more times in my life since I have place Him first and formost in my life that I ever thought possible.
When you read that All things are possible through Christ,
Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
I can make testamony to that. Praise the Lord! I hear Him when He speaks to my heart. I hear Him when I have done something He did not approve of, and I repent emediately.
No one has the right to question anyone's depth of a relationship that they have with Jesus. Exactly what intimate details are you looking for? Perhaps you are asking of somthing that is none of your concern and you have no right to ask it. Not ever question recieves an answer. Only those according to the will and time of the Lord.
A person's relationship varies according to where their faith is in that relationship with the Lord. Is He a part time Lord, and only spoken to when they need something, as they willfully use Him as a spare tire, or is He a full time Lord who is praised in all life's situations, good ones and bad ones.
To have an on going strong relationship with the Lord daily, lessens the bad times, because He leads you in life according to His will not yours. He knows what is best for me, and I trust in Him more than I ever did man.
God bless you.

Let's get down to brass tacks. Most husbands never know their wives. Not like the wife's best friend from childhood does.
Now, how to you sleep with someone, make and raise babies with them and NEVER KNOW THEM.
I make it my point to try and know about people as much as I can and that can sometimes get you into trouble.
Sometimes I know a guys WIFE better than he knows her and he's been married for 10 years.
Now, when I, instinctively know, what she takes in her coffee because I'm observant and he isn't, then that's the difference.
I've had talks with Born Agains and others and they will say this and that and I might say sometimes you need to be a little rowdy and they'll get taken aback until I remind them of Jesus going into the temple and turning over the tables and chasing out the money lenders and rooster fighters.
So, Jesus has a temper. He has a limit. You don't cross that limit or he'll turn over tables and chase you away.
Jesus TELLS you to sell all you own and buy a sword in one breath and in another tells you those who live by the sword die by the sword.
Now from that I don't conclude he's bipolar or hipocritical.
Jesus was an artisan. He built furniture. Without nails. Tongue and groove. From what we conclude he build GOOD furniture.
I would imagine JESUS expects you to become an artisan with that sword.
And to remember his teaching
The idea with the sword is not to harm or kill but to INFLICT THE FEAR OF GOD into your opponant.
You want to see your oppoants eyes to dialate when they relaize you know how to use that sword and YOU are better than they are.
That's ALL you need do to vanquish them is make them realize YOU can kill them at ANY point you choose to and THEY can't get a stroke on you to save their life.
You can't do that, don't draw a sword.
Police have a saying, don't draw a gun unless you intend to use it.
But sword is not a gun until it runs you through and JESUS was opposed to that concept.
So what do I know about Jesus, he wants me to defend myself but not hurt anyone in the process
He'd rather I have black and blue cheeks turning them than me draw my sword, but he doesn't want me to be a whipping boy or get fed to the lions for Dead christians spread no word.
So Jesus expects me to stand there and take it, but to hold my ground if they escalate but NOT harm if at all possible and that will depend on the numbers and my skill.
Since Jesus told me to carry the pack 10 miles even though I was only told to carry it 5 miles, I must assume Jesus expects me to hold my own in a sword fight with two people, maybe three people.
So, what do I know about Jesus. He expects a lot out of me and he's not really getting it, largely because I'm a tad lazy.
How about you. Can you Douglas Fairbanks it and take on three sword fighters at once and hold your own.
They say in his prime Steven Segal could hold his own in Japan against 5 black belts.

Well, before you asked your question you really should have gone back to the original language (Hebrew and Greek) and studied it out for yourself to find out what was really meant by the word "know".
Here's a URL/link to an article written by someone who has done all the work for you:
http://www.freeread.com/archives/433.php
I'm sure you'll find what is said there to be both enlightening AND extremely disturbing at some level, and you may want to re-ask your question once you have read it.

I know what you mean but, I have seen him and talked to him personally. It is not all that unusuall for the Gospel of John tells us that if we love him and keep his commands he will REVEAL himself to us. Now, that to many people mean that he will open their minds to his word but, it also is true in EVERY area. Many people actually see him and talk to him. I am no Saint but, I do love him and he has never told me anything for the salvation of the world -- no big messages like so many people have claimed but, just something that I needed to know for my own good. I suppose that if he wanted to he certainly could deliver grand messages but, I kind of think he mostly did that in the Bible.

You keep asking this, maybe you should try to know Him for yourself and get your own answers. Until you know Him you will never be able to understand how anyone else does. You can not put Jesus in the box of being human. I just had a Happy Meal for lunch, why because I am human, hungry and cheap :). . .Jesus is not.

Maybe this will help.
-------"...When the Bible speaks of God knowing particular individuals, it often means that He has special regard for them, that they are the objects of His affection and concern. For example in Amos 3:2, God, speaking to Israel says,“You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.” The Lord knows about all the families of the earth, but He knew Israel in a special way.* They were His chosen people whom He had set His heart upon. See Deuteronomy 7:7,8; 10:15. Because Israel was His in a special sense He chastised them, cf. Hebrews 12:5,6.*God, speaking to Jeremiah, said, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you,” (Jeremiah 1:5). The meaning here is not that God knew about Jeremiah but that He had a special regard for the prophet before He formed him in his mother’s womb. Jesus also used the word “knew” in the sense of personal, intimate awareness. “On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers’ “ (Matt. 7:22,23). Our Lord cannot be understood here as saying, I knew nothing about you, for it is quite evident that He knew all too much about them – their evil character and evil works; hence, His meaning must be, I never knew you intimately nor personally, I never regarded you as the objects of my favor or love. Paul uses the word in the same way in I Corinthians 8:3, “But if one loves God, one is known by him,” and also II Timothy 2:19, “the Lord knows those who are His.” The Lord knows about all men but He only knows those “who love Him, who are called according to His purpose” (Rom 8:28) – those who are His!"--------
This is from the Appendix of the book "The Five Points of Calvinism: Defined, Defended, Documented" by David N. Steele and Curtis C. Thomas.
When people ask you if you know Jesus, they are asking you if you have an intimate saving relationship. Intellectual knowledge will not save you.
