If I follow the wrong one will I go to Hell?

You follow the one that you believe with your heart. No one knows who has the "right" religion or if any of them are correct. But if you want to have a faith, find one that you agree with, that makes you feel complete or right, and follow that path. Good luck! :)

Find what feels good and right to you and work with that. There is no right religion or wrong one. There are just different paths. I take a little from each religion that feels right for me and leave the rest. I don't judge whether anyone else has the right way or not. Hell doesn't exist in my beliefs. Belief makes things real.

The only thing i know is that you follow the religion that you feel is true or else you will meet many people in many religions arguing that their one is right. I am a christian and obviously i believe that my religion is rite but i also respect other religions and am always open minded to try something new. But i chose christianity because i have looked at many other religions and i feel that this is the right one for me.

Also try praying and asking the lord to point you in the right direction. But if you follow and you truly feel that it's the right one then what i have learnt in my religioni is that you won't go to hell for searching and finding one that is rite for you but it can't be rite for you for the wrong reasons as most people join some religions because it is convenient for them. The strictest religions are the best because they help you to become a better person.

all right, this will undoubtedly make me unpopular with just about everyone here. But this is my honest belief.

I don't think there is a single "True Faith." Many roads, many doors in Heaven (John 14:2 "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you"). People need to find a faith that fits their needs--and I don't mean the music or decor of the building. This takes some work, and an open mind & heart. Consider not just those who are in authority, but the tenets of the faith (there's a lot good in the Catholic Church, for example, but we have seen those who fail to carry it out truly).
Everybody (just about) says they have the one "True Faith"--someone's gotta be wrong, and I prefer to believe that it is in the word "one".
A loving god, call him or her what you will, will not condemn good people to Hell because they were born in a religion & chose to follow it as an adult. I simply can't--& won't--believe otherwise. Most Christian churches now say that being another type (flavor, I call it) of Christian is not an automatic sentence of condemnation. Even the Catholic Church no longer says that!

You don't. No one does. It's a matter of faith. Keep an open mind and remember that though our beliefs can't all be right, they can't all be wrong either. I've thought about it a lot, and I think that maybe its not so important that we believe in something or someone specifically, maybe its just important that we believe in a higher power at all. No matter what that may be. I don't think anyone goes to Hell for not worshipping in the "right" religion. Especially given the fact that we're pretty much ignorant to what the ultimate truth is anyway. I honestly think its a matter of choice and personal preference. I think we're all somewhat correct in our own beliefs, and no God I worship would punish us for that.

If there is a God, you'd have to ask yourself, what does He want with me? If He created me, there must be a reason and purpose, a plan per se. However, if He's God, He'd know more than I, so He'd have to show me the way I should live to make the most of the life He's given, and yet make allowances knowing that I don't know everything past, present and future. I assume that if I'm important enough to be created, He must want some sort of relationship with me or there's be no point in making me in the first place. I know of only one Person who can answer all these questions and that's Jesus Christ. He says, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life." Rather than be afraid of hell, try to think of the Way to Heaven, to be with the One who loves you most, would go to the Cross and die in your place, and the One who has the power over death to bring you into Heaven with Him.

My advice would be to take some time to get on your knees and ask the Lord to show you the truth and where to obtain it. He is looking for people with basic child-like faith and belief that He is and He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him.

I do not believe in a literal hell. Some churches use the idea of literal hell as a fire escape. I serve God because He first loved me.

There is no wrong religion. There is truth in every religion.

You don't go to hell for picking a wrong religion. Where you go depends on your heart(cheesy). If you're a good person then you won't go to hell. Just because you "believe" something doesn't mean you will naturally go to heaven.

And when you look at a religion you will know which one is right for you. If you don't believe in any then keep looking.

My only advice to you is to ask God for guidance. I use to feel a little uneasy about ways and teachings Christianity and I prayed about it. Once it was all said and done I was very convicted to convert to Islam. I think God is most concerned with intention. If you have the intention to do the right things, have faith, and worship Him, I think you can't go wrong. People often confuse religion with our needs not God's will. Religion is not meant to be altered to fit your needs. Religion is altering your life to fit God's way. If you ask God to lead you in the right direction and totally surrender to His will, you will never go wrong. God will not lead you into darkness.

Just check how many of these religions were used to:

- start a numbr of wars
- kill people of different faith
- have a long record of oppression and paternalism

This will purge 95% of all religions on your list immediately. It so happened that most of these flops also have something like a "hell" which is used to dominate their believers, so ignore this point.
