Aren't romantic movies jsut what DOESN'T happen in real life? I mean, just because in the romantic movie a guy gets the girl or vice versa, there are no guarantees in real life? You might jsut never find the one for you and just simply die alone. How different is real life from the movies?

The movies give a slanted view of real life.
It's the modern version of fairy tales "and they lived happily ever after."
We Want life to be perfect we Want a fairy tale type life. But life has a sense of humor and sends us totally different things.
Little Billy will get stitches in his knee. Sandra will get her heart broken. Marriages will have rough patches. Money will be tight at times. And the roof will leak.
Ya just gotta roll with the punches.

Movies are not real. Unfortunately they can make "real" people dissatisfied with their lives because they give a false view of what the world should be like or what we think we need. They can make people search for something that doesn't exist. Movies are a fantasy. Life is real. Totally and completely different.

Way different. In real life things don't always work out the way we want them. In fact, it usually ends up being the opposite of what we want. Also, in real life people *can* be happy, but the movies never mention all of the little compromises and sacrifices you have to make to ensure the other person's happiness.

Titanic: Not going to happen NOW obviously.
The Wedding Planner: I dont think that will happen in real life.
Sleepy Hollow: Nope
The Notebook: No way
...
Well, LOL -now that I think about it.
No one really falls in love much in wonderful, heroic ways much anymore. LOL
Movies Vs. Real Life:
Movies is much more fanciful and romantic,
and Real Life isnt.
