DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT reveal deep secrets to your significant other!!!! I know people say you have to be open in a relationship but you should not reveal everything to each other. I feel that while you are with this person you shouldn't keep secrets and should be open only when it pertains to you guys at present time. Revealing to much especially to a guy will bite you in the a** when you guys get in an argument. Been there and done that. People when angry no matter how much they care for you go for the jugular...so be careful of what you say.

Experts in matters of the heart say it isn't necessary to reveal a secret that will not effect the relationship you are in. Sometimes, the new guy/girl would prefer not to know. But if you have to get it off your chest, but if you have to tell him for your own peace of mind, prepare him by saying you have the worst, ugliest thing in your past and say "It might even be the end of us as a couple". Then he might not think it is as bad when you tell him. For example I told my husband I wrecked the car and he was relieved and almost happy when he saw it was just a bashed fender.

Some secrets are meant to stay as such especially if its one that won't come out unless you open your mouth. As women we often feel the need to reveal everything while our mate still has the closet filled with skeletons. Unless its life or death or life altering I wouldn't say squat.

Do it soon, because if you wait to long, he will feel as though you have betrayed his trust. You need to just say that since you have grown so close you feel that there shouldn't be any secrets between you, but that you have something from your past that is difficult to discuss... then just say it.

Well...matters how bad this secret is really. Just be like hey honey..i love you and this is why I need to talk to you about something before we move on...you may not like it, but it's something that happend in my past and doesn't concern our future, but it's someting you should know. i dunno lol
