Zeus and Odin don't claim to be the all powerful creators of existance, and furthermore, both tend to only smite those who offend them.
No fig trees need worry.
I'm pretty sure Shiva sides with them.
Yaweh and Allah are the same god, and the fact that he's ticked has a lot to say about his followers.

Wormwood! Not every single deity is "wrathful"... you've taken Shiva (one of my fave studies) out of context. Shiva is both creator and destroyer, teaching balance as he does so. I'd say he's far from pissed off. Odin, same thing... Odin is one of the most compassionate gods I've read of... self-sacrificing, etc. My friend, thou truly hast much to learn... if thou doest not jest by thy question.

Odin? Wrathful?
Master of Madness, God of Wod and Frenzy, Lord of Battles, Gallows Rider, Inspiration of Skalds, Maker of Kings, yes, certainly . . . but "ticked off?"
Nope. Not the "all powerful creator of existence" either, btw. Megalomania, we heathens reserve for that Sand God guy. ;-)
Our deities are more . . . practical.

You have a lot to learn about mythology.
What LabGrrl said, and I add, the deities in Vodoun and Santeria (which some say are one in the same) also tend to be a pretty good-natured bunch until you offend them.

Goddess is not ticked off so you shouldn't generalize within the pantheon. She could care less what you do or who you tick off. You either love her or you don't.

because it's so much easier to control people when they are afraid... people have manipulated religion for their own purposes since the beginning of time, no surprise that they would teach people about vengeful gods before they state the "laws" that their "god" wants them to live by.
