is this unusual? Do you normally have it all of your life since a young age?

why should it have suddenly appeared in me?

I used to love heights and climbing trees etc as a child.
Its weird and im at a loss to understand it

No, it is not unusual to develop it later in life. It could come from something very simple, or could be very serious. You definitely do need to see a doctor about it. It could be from a lot of different problems, and should not be ignored. if it's something that can be treated by a prescription, they may give you a medication called antivert. I have Meneire's, and take it along with a diuretic. You may need to see a specialist.

I had the kind of Vertigo they call Positional Vertigo. I went to the Doctor and he gave something for it. The stuff worked. To be on the safe side i would suggest you go to a Doc. Dizziness can be a sign of many things. You are young so why wait?
