The Messiah is the connection between all of three of them.

1) Abraham: God told Abraham three times that all the earth's nations would be blessed through "his seed" (notice this is a singular seed -- i.e. one of his physical descendents): Genesis 22:18, 26:4 and 28:14.

2) David: God told David through the Prophet Samuel at 2 Samuel 7 that David's seed (again, singular) would inherit his throne forever:

12 “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. 15 But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”’”

3) Moses: The Mosaic Law foreshadows the Messiah and His mission in many ways. For example, the Levitical sacrificial system prefigures the fact that a righteous One must die for the sins of the people, since the blood of bulls, goats, rams, lambs, etc. only "covers" (atones) for sin -- it doesn't erase it. Secondly, Moses prophesied at Deut. 18:18 that another Prophet would come after him who would be like him, but more powerful. This is Jesus Christ.

Interesting question, but I only know of two covenants God made with man. The old covenant with Israel through which we received the law, and the new covenant with all men based on Christ. What covenant with David are your referring to?

God made Covenants with continually larger groups of people and we kept breaking them.

That is why he sent Jesus with the gift of the Church and the Sacraments for ALL people and gave us ALL the tools to stay within his grace.

Peace!
