I was raped in 2003 and the guy never went to jail. I moved out of the town to find peace. I had the dreams after it happened and after about 6 months they stopped. They started back up about January of '07. I find myself waking up saying a name and then trying to remember the name all day. I just want to know, why after so long of not having the dreams why now? I can't find a reason. I'm happy but I just can't control the dreams.

Well, this comes from a bad experience. In your case, raping experience resided in your subconscious mind for a while because you somehow can't get over with it.

Even in reality you think that is long gone, but it was still unresloved issue. When you live in this society where you can see male and female. Subconsciously they will give you as a reminder and besides, because that guy never went to jail. Subconsciously you think that is not resolved even though in your waking life you thought it was. However, deep down, his image and action still resided in your mind and didn't get wiped out yet.

That is why you keep dreaming about it. I am sorry to say that this will hang around a while unless you find someone that you trust and love and have this event completely covered.

Yeah, memories reside in your subconscious like information stored up on a computer. Even though, you may not be aware of it, there are certains thoughts which you can have througout the day which trigger certain dreams. Also, you have to consider the spiritual realm and the demonic element. Demons will bring dreams do you at night in areas where there is unresolved answers. It's like ripping or tearing at a wound which has never healed. Dreams come from your own spirit. Only a suggestion, but only Jesus Christ can completely heal you and rid you of these dreams or demons which are tormenting you.

There's a part of you that is still dealing with the trauma. Maybe a part of you that is angry that he was never punished, even. Though you are happy and in a new town, you lost a lot when it happened; your whole way of life changed. It's natural for there to be feelings, sometimes even years later. It's like after a few months of being upset, a scab came over you so you could function. Now, perhaps, you need some insight into what you went through to apply to your current life. What I mean is that maybe there's more for you to learn from what you went through.
