Hello! I need a guy opinion here, he told me that he girlfriend cheated on him, after they were 3 years together, and now he doesn't want any serious relationship...We've dated once, instantly develped eye contact, made out, but didn't sleep together, and since then talk on the phone almost every day. I like him and he seems to like me as well. We're going to meet once again and talk about his past expiriance...Do you think he's afraid of being lied and cheated once again?

Yes he is very afraid of being lied and cheated on. All you can do is be there when he is ready to jump into a relationship. No body likes to be hurt, but men take it personnel and will not let it happen again. He just has his guards up. Just be his friend and eventually he will come around and see you, cause right now he just views you as someone that will possibly hurt him.

Evidently, you're just dating schlutts. That's not something wrong with you. I know they probably looked respectable (schlutts can do that), but they're schlutts and that's all there is to it. You never really know until you get serious with someone, so it's probably just bad luck. It's not like you knew in advance or anything. If you did know in advance (ie: these girls dumped other guys for you or something), well then you're just an idiot. But if you didn't, don't feel bad. I've been cheated on god knows how many times, and I certainly don't feel any guilt over it. It just happens.

That`s EXACTLY what he`s afraid of. Remember, a mans BODY may withstand tremendous punishment and come through intact but that same mans heart may be broken with but a single word. People can be very fragile and men, for all their vaunted " I`m strong and need no-one " bravado can be the most fragile of all. When the person in all the World who you trusted betrays you, then, really, who is there left to trust ?.If you couldn`t trust the person who was supposed to love you then how can you trust mere " Friends " ?. It`ll take time for him to trust again, some never do.

i think he is scared to get into another relationship after what his past girlfriend did to him. its hard for someone to trust after being lied to and hurt so badly. i can tell he likes u, and that u like him. give him some time and he may come around. if this doesn't work, then sit him down and have a serious discusion about his past relationship. try to assure him that u r trustworthy and would never break his heart. hope this works and i wish u the best of luck!!!

Of course he is afraid of being lied to cheated on again. When stuff like that happens to people, it's not easy for them to trust and want to develop something with someone else. You would just have to give it some time until he feels comfortable enough with you to maybe want to try and give it another shot.

I'm far from a dude, But i'm sure no one wants to be in that situation again.. The question is do you want to waste your time on someone with trust issues.. when there are so many more men in this world... Have your pick girlfriend and stay far away from any drama !!!!!

Of course he is, so you've gotta take it slow. Obviously the big thing here is trust so you've got to develop that, if you feel like putting in that kind of time is worth it. To sound gay for a moment, can he learn to love again? Of course, so just build up a trusting relationship that you can foster into a loving one.
