i'm 21, i've been exercising for the last 3 months trying to get in shape. Lately i've been starting to feel really light headed after about 30-40 mins of exercise, its the same routine i've been doing so i dont understand why. I'm drinking plenty of water all day, and eating well. This has started out of no where. And after i'm finished exercising i get very very cold. what gives?

you should eat a small meal, or a snack with a lot of carbs, and drink gatorade or powerade, that will help you...that same thing happened to me when i first started working out too, and my bf is a personal trainer and that was the advice he gave me.

Try that, and i hope it works out for you.

You should visit your doctor. There could be something going on. Before when I thought I was eating enough, I really wasn't. And the same thing was happening to me. Now I take in 1,800 calories, rather than 1,100 (I didn't realize I wasn't eating enough) and I'm fine. But I would still see a doctor. Right down what you eat and at what times. Hypoglycemia can cause you to feel weak, so if you haven't eaten in a while, or you're doing a very strenuous workout, it can cause your blood sugar to drop.

Without stats like your height and weight, no one can really point you in a direction which serves your needs.

Please note that while water is fine, you should squeeze a piece of lemon into it on occasion or add a tiny bit of juice (no sugar added - the real stuff) so you get in some electrolytes.

Also, if you're "out of shape," scale back for now.

btw I'm not a real doctor - that's just my login (no Holiday Inn jokes, please)

see, if you mean headeache. That's something noramal, if you get it everytime you work out. Otherwisem I recommand you to see a doctore. If it's a headache that you get when you work out it can be from few things. Your stomack is preety emty when you start to work out. remember, you need have enought suger, and chalories to use part of it to work out, and other part to burn. So try to eat fruit, like apple, orange, strawbery or whatever with milk with suger or honey in it, 45 minutes before you start working out. ok?
Another thing is, you dreank lot of water. Firstitval, don't drink alot of water before you work out, cause it doesn't have any suger that your body needs to move. THerfore, just do what I said before, and have a gatorate or powerade, next to you when you are working out. remmemberm no coke, or pepsi or other pops. Not even redbull, those make your mouth feel weirld, and redbull would make you go dezzy. SO just gatorate of powerade, and drink a sip, only when you feel tierd.
One more thing, if you do squads, it could be from that to. Put a towel or a pat around bar when you are squading, and in squad you shouldn't rip more that your bodyweight. That's just for girls, boys body work differently.

It's very possible that you're drinking too much water, and bringing down your blood pressure because of it. This is actually very common, and happened to a friend of mine.

You should try to record how much water you're drinking in a day, and check in with your doctor to see if this is a problem.

I think this is happening because all of a sudden you started working out and you have out done yourself in the short amount of time.

exercise for a shorter amount of time and maybe try spacing out your workout times. like in the morning exercise for 20 minutes or so and in the evening exercise for another 20 minutes. this might help.

Maybe your coming down with the flu or maybe your pregnant? It really could be anything so I recommend you go to a doctor immediately!

Try having a light snack prior to your workout; a few pretzels, a protein shake, a piece of fruit.

Maybe you have poor blood circulation. Look it up and see what you can do to get your blood circulating better.
