I am not exactly sure what you mean by too much and why you have diffrentiated between boys and girls...but I can give you an opinion on child support in general... Child support is based on the ability of the parent to pay... A parent who makes $10,000 a year would pay significantly less than a parent who makes $1,000,000 a year... The payment has nothing to do with how much love a parent has for a child or the age and sex of the child... The money is given to the parent who has custody of the child to help support the child..

Child support doesnt go by the child's age. It goes by the paying parents income. He should get the same at 2 as he would at 17.

A lot of states base their ruling on child support on the parents income. A doctor is more likely to pay more in child support vs. someone who works for mc donalds.

It has nothing to do with how much is too much. It depends on what the father makes, the neighborhood and schools the child attends, and the life style that the family was use to before the divorce.

the correct amount of child support is what the judge said. apart from that, it's up to the generosity, or lack of generosity, of the parent who has to pay it.
