Self-massage is pretty easy to do! Here are a couple suggestions for soothing your aching legs:

- stretch them! Either sit on the floor with your legs straight and try to touch your toes or stand and lean forward to touch your toes (I prefer standing because gravity helps pull you down into a deeper stretch) - hold it for 30 seconds and do it a couple times. Also, stretch the front of your legs by standing, bending one leg at the knee and grabbing your ankle behind your butt. Those two stretches should get the majority of the muscle groups in your legs.

- ice them! Standing all day long inflicts serious wear and tear on your legs so to keep the muscles from swelling and becoming even more painful it may soothe them to put ice packs on where it's sorest. Remember though, it's not beneficial to ice for much longer than 10 minutes each hour

- self-massage them! Use a tennis ball, the spine of a textbook, a coffee mug - anything with a lot of strength that has a smooth surgace - and press it into your muscles, rolling it along the length of the muscle in a slow, even fashion. You can even sit and roll your legs over it to use the weight of your legs to create extra pressure.

If you can, try to stretch your muscles during work too - it will help your rehabilitation later in the day.

You can give yourself a massage of your legs and feet. Just rub where it hurts and follow with a warm bath and rest with your legs elevated. If you have someone to give the massage, even better!
