Why do we have hair on our knuckles and toes?

Hopefully only males have it on their knuckles? I really don't know why? Good question, perhaps to keep us warm in the winter! Shave them off for the summer!

How did this get in the Automotive section? To answer the question though, it is genetics. Not all people have hair on the nuckles and/or toes. These are gentic traits that goes back to "caveman" days.
