what happens when the both of you die? you end up going to heaven and he/she goes to hell. you're forever separated from your true love. isn't god sort of punishing you in a way? would you care at all? you're up in heaven having a good time, but in the back of your mind you know that the person you loved more than anything is burning in a lake of fire for all eternity. will god erase the memory of that person so that you don't worry about him/her anymore? will he erase all your memories of pain simply so you can have an eternity of joy? if so, what was the point of you living?

james, i'm not making hypotheses. i'm asking relevant questions. and the way i answer my questions are not based on faith. they are based on experience. it's based on what i know. faith is saying, "just believe in what someone else told you god said about something that has not happened to you yet."

Christianity is the opiate of the ignorant masses that are too afriad to face reality. If you let christianity or any dogma get in your way to true love you are only harming yourself.

The point of living is to bring glory to the name of the Lord who is more important to me than anyone else on the face of the earth. I love my family, don't get me wrong, but people change the Lord does not. I am not married and I would never marry a nonbeliever because it would be going against the word of God. I believe in being obedient to my Lord and Savior.
I believe in heaven that there will be no saddness. If there were then what would make heaven any different than this pile of crud world that we live in. Our focus in heaven will be praising our Father. There will be no worry, no sickness, no remorse. There will be only joy. God isn't human. People continually think that just because we would react this way, that God must react that way, also. He wouldn't punish you by saying, "Look at your spouse swimmin' in a lake of fire." That's something that a human would probably do. The Lord is the antithesis of humanity. We are fallen and depraved, He is not.

Lightness and darkess will never abide together in eternity. In Revelation 7:17 says that God shall wipe all tears from our eyes. Now why would we be crying? There will be much tears shed when we witness our loved ones receiving eternal damnation. But God shall wipe our tears. In essence, all memories of our past will be removed. And the point, only point, of your remaing married to a non-believer is to be a dedicated example of the Lord before him in hopes that your husband will one day get saved. Anything less than that is not fulfilling God's purpose for your union.

God certainly isn't punishing you. You made the choice to marry an unbeliever, in spite of warnings to not be "unequally yoked together with unbelievers."
But here's the good news. In heaven, there is no "in the back of your mind" as you put it. Once in heaven, there are no more tears, no more sadness, no more sorrow.
As for your beloved? Here on Earth he or she was exposed to faith, religion, and belief through YOUR relationship with Jesus. 1 Corinthians 7 tells us that unsaved spouses are sanctified by their believing partners. The blessings you receive through Jesus overflow onto them also.
Yet they still did not accept Jesus as Savior & Lord. By not accepting Christ, they have ultimately, by their own will, rejected Him. You spent the years of your marriage being a witness to your spouse. God gave them space to repent, and the opportunity to "taste and see that the Lord is good."
Do not worry about the thing over which you have no control.

I think we’re supposed to concentrate on the journey right here and right now. Everything else is in God’s hands.
Mortal life isn’t over until that final breath is drawn. Who can say how any life will change before that final breath exhales?
It’s up to us to try to live the example of Christ right now and for others to see and understand. Everything else is up to God.

And that my friend is called "planting the seed"
Whatever you do dont force it one him rather praise God for the blessing you recieve!
Dont worry they will come around, remember we are on God's time.......and sometimes Go tests our on Faith through someone else!

Doesn't make much sense, does it?
"That the saints may enjoy their beatitude and the grace of God more abundantly they are permitted to see the punishment of the damned in hell."
-- Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica
So you'd get the added bonus of seeing your spouse tortured. Doesn't that sound wonderful?
It's all a load of speculation and wishful thinking. No one knows what will happen--if anything--after death. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.

The Bible says not to be unequally yoked. In other words don't hook up with or marry a non believer if u are a believer. So if u both die and your spouse isn't a believer they go to hell. When u get to Heaven u won't be upset by it u won't even remember them. There are no marriages in Heaven (Bible is clear on that). The Bible says there is no tears and pain in Heaven. SO if your saved "don't worry be happy" and pray and fast for your spouse.

It's not about 'believers' and 'non-believers'.
It's all about "know" or "know not": the truth.
Know the truth makes you free of believe the lies.
Know His Grace makes you free of believe laws.
Them: know not, so forgive them & destroy them: Law
Us: know, the mystery is made known unto us: Grace
Conversion: them->us, which is allegorically law->grace
Exhortation: come out from among them(the know nots)
The Lord is l-o-n-g-suffering to "us-ward" = "salvation".
It's all allegory and mystery to solve in time, lest all perish.
Biblical Purpose: "with all thy getting, get understanding".
Plato: no ordinance or law is mightier than understanding.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

not being able to remember your loved one???
the person you spent your life with and shared so many happy memories???
how is that heaven if you cant remember them let alone not be with them?!?!?!
wouldn't "god" forgive them for not believing if they were a good person? why punish both just because one didn't have any definitive proof that "god" existed?
that's just being mean!
