I have been on Lexapro for about 6 months now. I recently stopped taking it because I don't have enough money right now to get a refil. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced dizziness when they stopped taking it.

Thanks for your answers. I wasn't sure if the dizziness was coming from not taking my medicine or not. I'll call my doctor and ask for some samples. Thanks!

It's really dangerous to stop taking anti-dperessants cold turkey. Ask your doctor if he will give you some samples until you can afford to get more or so you can taper off. I never had dizziness from going off of it, but I did get these weird buzzing sensations in my brain that would last a few seconds.

My mother takes it and yes she does experience dizziness and extreme emotional lows when she has been off of it a while. Talk to your doctor about how to deal with symptoms until you can afford a refill.

I was on it once upon a time. I got very sick when getting off of it. dizziness, vomiting, nausea were my 3 main symptoms.

You're supposed to taper off of it to help lessen the side effects. Talk to your doctor and see if you can get a small refill to do the tapering.
