this message keeps on popping up when its done downloading, and then the screen that continues the download just pops up and goes away

DOes the account you are using have full (adminstrator) rights to the PC? That looks like a "rights" error. If you are a "limited" user it can not overwritten certain files and so it fails.

uninstall reinstal
add and remove programs
remove programs you are not using
click start bottom left on task bar
control panel
add and remove programs
find the program(s) you want to remove
choose remove
reinsall if needed
check status as you do it
be safe
don"t remove what you don"t what it is
