Sort of... I'm a Christian who gets reminded by these crazy Catholics all the time how I'm gonna burn. It's a shame that they can't just toss me in the fire like the old days.

It's hard for me to respect them. I tolerate certain things, but have trouble respecting people sometimes. I may respect their right to make whatever choice they want in their philosophy, but I need not respect them.

Religions never get respect from non believers and I think this would be logical. If I weren't a Christian I wouldn't respect Christianity either. The only thing I would add is "going to hell" is not proper. It's just that non believers don't get eternal life.

I asked a question last night about how to handle someone that keeps bringing up the fact that I'm "going to Hell" and she's sad for me. I respect her, though. I believe you should always respect someone's beliefs even if they don't respect yours. It makes you the better person, and makes things easier.

Hmm I'm not sure. I like a lot of people who are Christian. My Dad for example. BUT he doesn't believe I am going to hell any more then he is. He believes God is merciful and all knowing and therefore doesn't stoop to the emotions of humans.
I think most people I know don't think I am going to hell. Actually a lot of them aren't really into the hell thing anyways.
Telling me I am going to hell with out knowing anything about me? I can't respect that kind of hatred.

respect and no respect belong to a way of looking at things with opposites. Dualistic thinking, which is one of the main barriers to awakening. Rather than not respect someone's ideas, no matter HOW IDIOTIC, imagine that there are really only two kinds of people in the world, those who's consciousness has awakened and those who have not. Those who have experience life in their awareness, in their consciousness. Those who have not tend to try and understand everything around them with ideas. But life can't be understood that way.

NO and Yes, You know I don't believe like most religous people think.

Specaily Christian. They think if you are not then you will go to hell, no matter now if you be good person or not.

There is one way to heaven and it is a pure heart.

Believe me I find you really better and smarter than many religious people.

If you are atheist it don't mean you go to hell, May be it mean that you still didn't find your reason for existence of God.

Before I became a Christian I feared other Christians. I respected them but I would tend to stay away from them. Didn't want to know I was headed to hell. I was barely 17 and feared them always. But now I know Christians who preach the truth with love. Now that kind of preaching I can receive. Tell me I'm going to hell but telling me more often that there's a way to avoid eternal damnation and there's a loving Savior who cares more for me and thinks of me more times than the sands on the beach, now that might be worthy of me listening too. I don't know about you but I want to be loved and accepted. Speak to me about love, not puppy love but agape love and I'm more likely to listen.

there is NO respect for people in religion or religious beliefs...

"religion is Spiritual fraud";
"religion is the Worse invention of humanity";
"Universal Truth has eliminated religion from Spirituality",

Here's the Solution for religion:

I have issues with all people who think their religion is the supposed 'right one' and who won't respect other people's right to worship (or not) in their own way.

You can respect their right to believe what they want, you don't have to be best friends with them.
