The lab will formulate the length of your hair by the average hair growth rate and they will be able to determine from that how long you have been growing your hair. they will then take sections of the hair strand and test each section for drug pressence. By doing this, they will be able to tell about how much and when you used and what you were using (pot, coke, heroine, etc). The are "washes" you put on your hair that people will swear work, and pills you can take, but these things do not work, The drugs will stay in your hair permanently. Men will generally try to shave their heads before a test, but this dos not work either, because the lab will take hair from another area (use your imagination here).
So the short answer is yes, you will fail the test.
