No. He is faithful. I speak with Him daily, and He even returns my calls. He is evident in my life, and an ever present help in time of trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
UPDATE: Trust me, unless you are in Him when He comes, you don't want Him to come yet. When He comes again to the earth, "...all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:30)
In the meantime, He has given us what we need for salvation. He has left us eyewitness testimony, which is found in the four Gospels. You need not be without Him.

First of all jesus didn't ABANDON anyone!! why is he supsoe to show his self to you if you are a sinner, you dont follow the commandments, if you do no right why should he help you?? why should he the almighty god show himself to someone who isnt worth it. In the past (im talking bible time) god should himself to people who deserved it. When god made his presence and talking about just his voice, to Moses. Moses's body aged and that was just his voice. what would happen in todays age when god isnt even allowed in schools, barely anyone worships himanymore, what would happen if he decided to show himself to us...... we as humans are not worthy. back then when god was around, when religion was around. everything was fine. when salomon was king he had god and got everything his hearts desired he had women he had gold he had servants he had everything. and same with king david. this society doesnt have god within them. todays society is messed up. Thats why when he comes he's going to
take all the good people who deserve and let all the evil ones burn on this miserable planet for one thousand years.

To answer your questions briefly:
First Jesus is not hiding on earth. The Holy Spirit is within us: John 14:22-27 "22Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"
23Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
25"All this I have spoken while still with you. 26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
Testing us: God test us to strengthen our faith in Him.
Baby issue: yes I make my baby work for food...he has to learn on his own how to eat with a spoon, fork, and knife...you can't be spoonfed for life and as a child of God, God is not going to spoonfeed you.
Easy issue: it is easy. Can you read? Read the Bible. If you can't read, then listen to the Bible. Christians make up 1/4 of the world's population(and growing), so there's bound to be a Christian that will be happy to show you the Gospel.
Our salvation is soooo easy. We don't have to work for it: Ephesians2:8-10 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
All we have to do is BELIEVE is Jesus Christ died for our sins.
No matter what happens in Dafur, it's God's plan.

He hasn't abandoned us. don't you know that we push him out at times. he never leaves. the two foot prints in the sand when you see only one set of footprints that's when he carried us. Jesus will never leave us, but some will leave him.

I don't, maybe you do. I know he hasn't and I know he never will, even if I abandon Him, He will not abandon me. Such is the true love He has for us all, yes, even you.

Hold on a second...
(You still there?)
He hasn't abandoned me. Still there. Maybe you need to look at little harder. You will be able to see him when you do.
