When an Atheist says something like, "We are just large animals with bigger brains" I step back for a moment and drink in that thought. What are they actually saying? I figure that they are saying more about themselves than anyone else.
And then there is this: The more someone who says that kind of thing holds fast to it, the more religious they are being. So the more an Atheist spends time on expressing Atheism and directing others to it, the more religious that are becoming. And they cannot see that because they are in denial about having any connection to religion.
So I find them quite entertaining.

No you are correct. I think it is impossible to believe that we are evolved from apes. What kind of crazy theory is that anyway.
I think that the invisible man pick up a handful of dirt and breathed on it . That is much easier for my small mind to comprehend than the idea of the earth being 4.5 billion years old and for reasons as yet to be determined we evolved from lower life forms until we are what we see today.
Also, it should be pointed out to you. Although you will not listen that the christians began to kill all of those that did not believe like them back when they were in power from about the early 300's CE. on up until about the late 1600's CE. So do I feel that the christians will bring peace I think the answer is clear and I have documented history on my side and that answer is no way. Your Jesus said it himself " I come not to bring peace , but a sword to pit father against son, mother against daughter.
So no matter what you say it has all been said before by your kind and we are not buying it.
It is also note worthy for all you " good christians" out there to know that Adolph Hitler was also a devout christan so before you think I or anyother agnostic, atheist, and any other non beleiver are evil you should look in your own backyard.
Those living in glass houses should not throw stones.

I don't think it was a big invisible man. Otherwise, he'd give people like you the power to pluralize the word "atheist". >>This is not English class No, but when you continuously misspell the keyword of your mini essay, it's harder to take you seriously. >>and if you need to say something about it don’t. Too late. You're not a moderator of this forum; you can't force me to answer a certain way. >>How could something like those create something so >>complex as a human? If you bothered to actually take the time to research subjects list cosmology, abiogenesis and evolution (and you obviously haven't), then you'd see how this happens. Complex changes don't happen overnight. They come from billions of years of accumulation of small changes. >>Everything made on this earth is just so complex >>there had to be some reason behind it. If by "reason" you mean "purpose", no there doesn't. There is absolutely no logical reason why complexity should necessarily imply intentional purpose. Snowflakes are complex in structure, but there's nothing magic behind them. >>but you can’t prove that we came from chemical >>reactions also and that the big bang theory is the >>reason why the earth was created. Boy, I sure hope you're never picked for jury duty! "Well we found the fingerprints all over the gun at the scene of the crime, and DNA samples too, but since nobody was there we don't know for sure if he's guilty." It's not about "proof". Proof is something that only happens in mathematics. It's about studying the evidence, and coming to the most logical conclusion based on that. Right now, evidence shows that the Big Bang model fits the best. And that's not reason why the earth was created. And finally, you make the other gross assumptions that one has to be an atheist in order to accept either evolution OR the Big Bang OR cosmology OR abiogenesis. Again, you really should read up on these subjects before pretending you already know about them.

Well I hate to break it to you grandpa, but we are animals. Humans are part of the animal kingdom. And yes we do have large brains. Your point?
No one wants your kind to take control of the world, last time you people did that we had a little thing called the Dark Ages. Sure, the Inquisition was just full of love and peace!
And what the hell is wrong with someone adopting children or with gay couples?

There is no proof of creation. Your entire argument is made up of emotion and belief with nothing to back it. We share even more with apes, from which we EVOLVED.
"Spread the word of Jesus and watch all wars come to an end." Christians have been more responsible for war than all other religions put together.
"I remember a time when men and women made up families. Now it's two guys, some adopted kid and a ceremony." Gee, interesting thought from someone who wants an end of war (a byproduct of hate).

It is hard to believe that people still believe things like this until I see a question like this. Even most mainstream Christians believe in evolution. Other religions that believe in some type metaphysical go for evolution. Ony a minority go for strict creationism. And hopefully there wil not be enough to even try and take control of the work again.

Colson, are you perhaps Tricky Dick's Colson, the one who spent time in prison? I heard you had "found" god there. But, no, the clear evidence seems to be that you found ignorance instead. We all of us are presumably conceived by heterosexuals. In my case, I was a child of a rape (the rapist was heterosexual). My teenage mother, another heterosexual, abandoned me when I was two years old. I would have welcomed any couple...gay, unmarried, straight...to have given me a home, a sense of security, decent food and clothing, and love. As it happened, no one did. Now, in my twilight, two of my dear friends are middle-age women who met each other in college. Their son is five now and a typical five-year old boy, with curiosity, verve, energy, and a rapidly developing brain. He is learning Spanish, computers, soccer, and all about whales (his favorite). He is a happy kid who isn't being physically abused by heterosexual do-gooders, as I was, and who eats healthy food, not somebody's scraps, as I did, and sleeps in his own bedroom with his toys and kid's music and games. Why would anyone think this to be either unusual or some kind of absurd Bronze Age tribe of murdering nomad's "sin"?

Creation suggests that something came from nothing. We already know that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. It is the first law of thermodynamics. Why would one even look for answers to life outside of science rather than considering a process of evolution over time. And why distract from your question by adding in homophobic statements?

Do you really think there are that many homosexual couples? I've never met a homosexual who adopted a child. Is it worse for a child to be adopted by homosexual parents than to grow up without parents at all?
Why do you think spreading Christianity would stop wars? Religions have exacerbated wars again and again throughout history.
Also, who told you that evolution is about a stick and a rabbit? Your pastor? Why not ask some respectful questions and maybe someone who thinks differently from you will share his beliefs with you. Then you will be able to convince others more effectively of your point of view, if you understand theirs. As you stand now, you only look angry and terribly unconvincing.

People will come up with all theories to shield their eyes & hearts from God, even the Israelites built a gold calf in wilderness and praised it for rescuing them from Egypt even though the "evidence" of God was all around them..
humans are always rebellious..

And is there a question in this drive-by preaching?
I hate to break it to you, but we share 98% of our DNA with chimps. 97% with the other great apes. Like it or not, we are primates just like them. We have simply developed the ability to walk upright and use our considerably more intricate brains to lift ourselves above a mere survival level of existence.
Does that damage your ego? Too bad. That's what the physical evidence says. Cry me a river.
I don't know if you've noticed, but "spreading the word of Jesus" will not make wars come to and end. Witness Northern Ireland, where up until recently Christians have been killing one another for decades.
The rest of your babble is a fairy tale with no basis in fact. history, or reality.
