In my last question on this topic, I got responses that claimed that people clearly understood god's laws as written in a book.
However, that's not really true, is it?
The whole reason that there are various sects within different religions is because people disagree with each other about what some book is saying....which was the point of my last post. Why can't god simply write a book that everyone agrees upon?
Oh well....just a point of curiousity.

Fireball - yes, I do. That's part of the point in my question. I actually asked about that in the original question. Is human diversity too much for god to overcome and put together one, coherent message that everyone can agree upon.
Clearly, your answer is "yes, god cannot do that".

the reason for the confusion is people try and understand God's laws from reading about them. Just as you could not understand the beauty of Beethoven by just reading words about his music, God's laws are written into nature, into existence, into your soul. You experience God's laws to know what they are, not read about them. They have been written into your being like firmware in a computer. Everyone can know what they are if they become more conscious.

Most do not disagree with the law itself but obviously there are different interpretations of God's word. Some religions have created their own scriptures which are not in agreement wiht the true word of God others have simply misinterpreted scripture. God's word is not clear in some respects as it is not written for the flesh or man's understanding but is revealed to those who truly seek the truth by the Holy Spirit.
Let me give you and example some see a contradiction because they lack spiritual undestanding...The Old Testament says an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth...Christ taught to turn the other cheek..without understanding this would easily be interpreted as a contradiction. Christ did fufill the law and therfore we now are taught to forgive each other as we are forgiven. The meaning is even more spiritual but you can see what I mean there are spiritual meanings that all men are not going to understand without revelation from God it is not a mistake that the Bible is writen this way as it is the way for those who love the truth but is not clear for those who live only according to the flesh.
The truth is there and available to all but some will not surrender their understanding for the true revelation that only comes form God.

Because God gave us free will to decide on what's right and wrong. He did give us a book and it's called the Bible, which is God's laws and his words.
