The trasmission fluid was low so I put some in (from the dealarship), now my car doesn't take off and won't go past 40 mph. The RPM's go up but it will not accelerate I was thinking maybe it's a spark plug?

If the engine revs up but the car does not seem to go any faster in comparison to engine RPM it sounds like a trans problem rather than an engine misfire

If your RPM's keep going up, and you don't accelerate, it's got nothing to do with the engine and everything to do with the transmission. It may be shot. You need to get it inspected immediately.
