I purchased windows vista installed it. I hate it. Most retail places won't take back open software. Will M$ refund my money if I return the software?.

Unfortunately, you are probably stuck with it. You can try selling it on Ebay maybe, but you have to make sure that you explain why you are selling it open.

No they won't because the CD key has been used. What is the problem that you are having with Vista. I'm using it right now and have been for about three months with out any problems other then one very old piece of software that won't work. It does need a bit of tweaking, but then, so does XP. If you want some detailed help contact me at worstron@yhaoo.com. Once set up right Vista is faster, more stable, and way more secure this is XP.

Take a look at the Microsoft North American Retail Product Refund Guidelines (link below).

As long as it is a retail copy of Vista and within the 45 day window, it sounds like you could return it. If it is an OEM version, you'll need to work through the reseller/vendor.

I doubt they will. I wanted to email microsoft tech support, and they charge you $59 to email them or call them for help. So after seeing that I highly doubt they'd be willing to refund you. and yes, I hate vista as well, we should start a vista haters club

No, they won't! I have vista. I bought a new computer about 4 months ago. And i love it. If you have all the updates and know how to use it. Its awesome!
