My husband is an atheist. We have been married for 26 years. Everybody is treated with respect in this home. He isn’t even capable of abusive behavior.
So am I to conclude the same is true of all atheists? Of course not. We are individuals, each accountable for our own actions. Do all Christians behave the same? Certainly not. Once again, we are each accountable for our own actions.
What kind of mind assumes that the actions of one person represents an entire group? Around here, quite a few it seems. This is truly sad and explains so many of the problems in our world.
If we are willing to make judgments about an entire group of people based on a story we read about one celebrity’s father, what does this say?
Think about it. Is this who you really are?

I am a Christian and although I am not yet married I don't shout at my friend (who lives an hour drive away) over the phone whenever there is a problem. I only ask questions for her to answer and of course she can give me the answers.
When I do get married, my wife and I will be one flesh. (Matt 19:5, 6) I will not throw things at my own flesh or hit my own body. In fact, people who beat their wives are not true Christians. Perhaps you have to adjust your reasoning on matters before you draw a conclusion.

It's individuals. I'm christian, have been married to a christian for 24 years and the day he raised a hand to me would be his last. Luckily, for me, I chose wisely, he's a good man and a good father. Have no patience for people who blame God or satan for abusing others. I'm sorry if they're psycotic, but hey, go to a shrink or have themselves locked up up, there's no excuse for hurting other people. I think the worst is these pigs who abuse their kids, a spouse can get away, a child can't.

Satan is the father of all liars. Apparently he's been able to convince you that you've never sinned just because you've never hit or threatened your wife.
